Donny Ray Holbrooks-Holt (born March 17th, 1997) better known by his stage name D-Ray is an American Rap artist from McKinleyville CA. He is a signed music artist under a record label based out of Oakland CA. called "Thought Music Empire". When D-Ray was was 15 he was first known on Facebook for his Inspirational and Humorous post. After a while of being known for his Facebook Fame he was soon recognized by Elias Roberto a Bay Area (Oakland CA.) Rapper known as Pharaoh Lavelli and started a collaboration with him and started hosting Dance Parties in the Humboldt County CA. They soon realized that they were both good business partners for one another and they both had a passion for music. Soon after that Pharaoh Lavelli and D-Ray started starting making music together. Pharaoh Lavelli got D-Ray to perform with him for his very first time as an opening act for Kid Ink and E-40 on November 8th, 2014 at the Redwood Acres Fairgrounds in Eureka CA. A couple years later after their progress and Rise to Fame, D-Ray released a track featuring Pharaoh Lavelli called, "Face Down A** Up". After D-Ray released the track it went viral over night and his manager (Elias Roberto) called him up and notified him that he got a record deal from "Thought Music Empire". D-Ray soon rushed over to his managers place to sign the contract and the rest is History. D-Ray Holbrooks (talk) 20:40, 2 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
