Citespam

Hi I have just read your message without noticing it for months.

If you are wondering why I just reverted a bunch of your edits you may want to read this link. --CutOffTies (talk) 01:36, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

I was not aware that it was considered spam to help add links to certain musicians pages and albums since the site I was citing had information on the subjects. What do you recommend? Thanks for making me aware of this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gtmo (talkcontribs) 18:25, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Soliciting comment...

Hi! Would you care to review my FA nomination for the article Of Human Feelings? The article is about a jazz album by Ornette Coleman, and the criteria for FA articles is at WP:FACR. If not, feel free to ignore this message. Cheers! Dan56 (talk) 06:43, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Cal Ripken, Sr.

I will be very busy next week, so I would like to have the Ripken Sr. review finished this week, if that is all right with you. If there is more work to be done, it will be easier for me to get around to it this week. Thank you for reviewing it, by the way! Oriolesfan8 (talk) 14:16, 7 August 2014 (UTC)

Oh, I was waiting for your replies to my suggested edits. --CutOffTies (talk) 23:21, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Oh, sorry. I believe I made all the changes you suggested, which is why I didn't reply. I probably should have done so, though. Oriolesfan8 (talk) 10:56, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
I apologize. I didn't realize you made the updates. I will look at the article one more time and then begin the review. --CutOffTies (talk) 08:14, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

List of fatal bear attacks

Over at NORB (see also this section), there's been some significant discussion about the inclusion of summary tables and maps into disparately sourced lists like List of fatal bear attacks in North America, as well as some movement towards excising some of these lists entirely as WP:OR. Here is a permalink to the current version since this page is archived frequently.

There's a pretty clear consensus that these summary tables and maps are OR and should be removed, with only Chrisrus arguing for their inclusion. Since you are listed as a main editor on List of fatal bear attacks in North America, I thought you'd want to weigh in, either at NORB or on the talk page there.0x0077BE [talk/contrib] 14:20, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for letting me know. I don't have anything to add to the debate right now, but if there are any questions about the history of the article that I can clarify, let me know. Thanks --CutOffTies (talk) 23:35, 10 August 2014 (UTC)

Chris Davis

I responded to your suggestions. Anything that does not have a comment under it I changed. Thanks for the review! Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 23:48, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, I will try to get to it in the next few days. --CutOffTies (talk) 06:17, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Lost and Found bluegrass band

The bluegrass band called The Lost and Found is a real bluegrass band. Look them up if you do not believe me! Allie, the Country Girl 19:26, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

Help

Can you help me to nominate this article? I can't put this up properly. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Zack_Hample NegroLeagueHistorian (talk) 02:07, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

On the Hample article, the "page" attribute in the "Article for deletion" template tag should be the article name (Zach Hample), not "subpage name". Other than that it looks okay. You may look into using Wikipedia:Twinkle to automate all these tasks. It makes editing here much easier. --CutOffTies (talk) 03:04, 21 June 2015 (UTC)

State songs and copyright

Thank you so much for your point about copyright and the Virginia state song. I am shocked to discover that many state songs are copyrighted, though I don't yet know whether this one is--I'm going to see if I can track down the relevant Virginia legislation (I understand from a quick surf of the web that there is often legislation that places all emblems and other symbols of a national or state identity in the public domain). Lesson learned! Leofstan (talk) 17:53, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, I hope it is in the PD so the lyrics may be put back in! --CutOffTies (talk) 06:55, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

IMDB Posters and Images of Actors/directors

Hello, I've got a Speedy deletion nomination of pictures posted on 4 different pages, these pictures were all taken from the celebrities' IMDB pages and were posted under Common License like others used in other pages where the pictures of the people and the posters of the films were taken from IMDB. Why is this happening? Did I not post it under the correct attribute? — Preceding unsigned comment added by EddieMoore26 (talkcontribs) 19:01, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello, thank you for the inquiry. Please read Wikipedia's image use policy. You took copyrighted images from IMDB and said they were creative commons. IMDB sets the license of the images, not you. You only get to set rights for images you own. --CutOffTies (talk) 23:19, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
Oh, okay - can you tell me under what category I need to file them? I'll get that fixed and know for next time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EddieMoore26 (talkcontribs) 23:23, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
If you're not going to read the policy I linked, start with this: most images on the internet are copyrighted and should not be added to Wikipedia. --CutOffTies (talk) 23:37, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
