Advice

edit

All you are doing is ensuring that the IP address and this account will be blocked from editing. The Kelly Hutchison article can also be locked to prevent editing from unregistered and new accounts. Instead of vandalism, how about actually trying to improve the article and address the notability concerns? freshacconci talktalk 01:58, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

No, I'm quite real. The main issue around vandalism concerned the repeated undoing of my edits and the edit on my user page. That's the type of thing that's frowned on. As for notability, this is somewhat subjective, but it is mainly covered in WP:NOTE and WP:ARTIST. My main concern was actually more to do with reliable sources backing up many of the claims. Anyone can go on Wikipedia and claim that someone did something. We need sources to confirm it. Otherwise, it could appear that the article subject is perhaps not notable enough to warrant an article. Do you have more sources, published articles in newspapers and magazines that are not connected to the artist? If so, you should add them. This helps establish notability. If the artist has appeared in galleries throughout the US or internationally and has had his work published in magazines and so on, this probably will establish notability well-enough, as long as their are reliable sources to back it up. If you can add a bit more of that to the article, it goes in establishing notability and the tag can then be removed. The templates or tags at the top of articles are just noted left for other editors that work needs to be done on the article. It's not meant as a judgment on the article subject. Anyway, feel free to remove it as it appears your intention isn't to disrupt Wikipedia. Also, feel free to remove the previous warnings on this page. freshacconci talktalk 02:22, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

We cannot keep deleted material in storage for ever on our userpages. As the article has not been edited since I restored it for you, I have now deleted it. You may request it again, but only if you are going to immediately work on it to establish the notability it currently lacks. Please contact me if you wish it to be recreated again.
