Speedy deletion nomination of Mermaid Lounge

Hello Crowleigh,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mermaid Lounge for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Status and Advice

and, as reviewing administrator, knowing that many New Orleans nightclubs are quite famous, I checked Google News Archive before I deleted it. I found & added one good reference, and there are many more available. It won't be deleted, but it does need to be expanded. You do not need to add all the possible references; just pick the best, trying to avoid blogs and the like. If you add a list of notable groups who performed, confine it to those with Wikipedia articles.

But please, when you write other articles here, and I hope you will, be aware that it really helps to have a reference in at the very first edit. DGG ( talk ) 00:32, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
