Speedy deletion nomination of Crossing the Line (2010 film)

edit

A tag has been placed on Crossing the Line (2010 film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD Nomination: Crossing the Line (2010 film)

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Crossing the Line (2010 film) meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Crossing the Line (2010 film). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article.

Note: I explicitly made the following request during the AFD:

  • That it will be "snow closed" or closed well before the 7 days normally allotted are up - this will happen only if many editors agree that it should be deleted and few or no editors agree it should stay. If it is not unanimous or there is not a large-enough early participation then it will run the full 7 days.
  • That unlike a typical AfD where the article has to go through deletion review before re-creation, that the article can be re-created without review after the topic meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. I do not want the fact that someone created an article early to prevent or delay an article from being created when the time is right. Please read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (films) before re-creating the article. In any case, it is very rare for a movie article to qualify before release. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 16:09, 26 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your username

edit

I am concerned that your username is being used purely for promotional purposes. This is not allowed on Wikipedia, see Wikipedia:Usernames

This is particularly in light of the fact that your one and only contribution is the creation of Crossing the Line (2010 film).

I have put a note about my concerns at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention. See here for the page at the time I added your username. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 16:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please create a new account with a username that represents only you. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may ask for a review of this username block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message. Thank you.
