Help

edit

I have tried to edit pages for TV Stations in Los Angeles to reflect something that is missing from the page. it accepts the edit, but when I return to the page the next day my edits are gone, this has happened on more than one site. Whose controlling the page edits or am I doing something wrong.

Sorry to hear your having some trouble - I am not sure about why they are being removed without knowing the pages in-question- That said are you adding sources to the additions - we need to use references. This is an encyclopedia, so remember to include references listing websites, newspapers, articles, books and other sources you have used to write or expand articles. New articles and statements added to existing articles may be deleted if unreferenced or referenced poorly. See: Wikipedia:Tutorial/Citing sources for more information.Moxy (talk) 20:27, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

{{help}}an example would be the KCBS-TV wiki site where I am adding an inividula to the list of talent that has appeared on the station. I am adding a name to the list. How would I refence that or is someone disallowing the edit?

You haven't edited that page for at least 6 months (as shown by the history), if within that. Can you make sure you're hitting "Save Page" and waiting for it to reload the page before leaving the page? gwickwiretalkedits 22:36, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sandy Hill

edit

Hello Craighill44. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Sandy Hill".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sandy Hill}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 23:29, 17 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
