Help me! edit

With regard to the miss-quotation of Benjamin Franklin, please understand that this is not a matter of turning Wikipedia into a forum, or going by a particular historian, it's about going by the actual source material. Wikipedia is supposed to be a historical resource independent of political motivation and in this case, if you side with the historian chosen for this link, who has an obvious personal agenda, (he edited the actual quote and replaced relevant lines with "..." after all), in order to make the quotation less decipherable, then you will be failing this website's mandate and undermining its credibility. Are you really comfortable perpetrating that? Please check the link I provided, it is a legitimate archive of Benjamin Franklin's letters. Even with the missing passages it's clear to anyone with a passing knowledge of the English language, that his interpretation is not just completely erroneous, but a mater of intentional and intellectual fraud. Leaving this as it is should make Wikipedia feel ashamed of itself. Please help me with...
