December 2012 edit

Hello, I'm Prioryman. Your recent edit to the page Bay of Gibraltar appears to have added incorrect information, so I removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Prioryman (talk) 08:26, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary, factual errors and your personal analysis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. Acroterion (talk) 14:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Since your sole activity on Wikipedia appears to assert a nationalist point of view, you may consider this a final warning. Edit-warring of this kind is a bane of Wikipedia and is not tolerated. Please stop pretending that other languages don't exist. Acroterion (talk) 14:18, 23 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
By the way, nobody told you to "edit the page again": quite the contrary, the editors on Jimmy Wales' page were trying to decide if you were associated with a banned user who had the same disruptive POV, and whether you were disrupting the Spanish Wikipedia as well. As you will see below I once again edited the said page as suggested by the Wikipedia team “and so anyone may edit its articles” after I made a complaint about the erroneous statements made in the Bay of Gibraltar webpage. The reply was as follows:

“Thank you for contacting us regarding the dispute you encountered while editing.

Wikipedia is a collaborative encyclopedia (as explained at <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Introduction>), and so anyone may edit its articles. Its policy, nonetheless, is that articles must be written from a neutral point of view, representing all majority and significant-minority views fairly and without bias, as is discussed extensively at <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:NPOV>.

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

Yours sincerely, Andy Mabbett”

I also added:

“Overall comments: When writing any information concerning the Bay of Gibraltar please refrain from using references such as “also known as” or any references that state “Bay or Bahia de Algeciras” as there is no room for this type of disinformation on any English versions of what should be factual information about the Bay of Gibraltar. You should also revise all references from Spain misrepresenting the Bay of Gibraltar as Bay of “Algeciras”.)

References to Algeciras should be made as PORT not Bay.

Also on the second paragraph of the webpage reference is made to "with part of the eastern half claimed by Gibraltar". It is not claimed by Gibraltar IT IS BRITISH GIBRALTAR TERRITORIAL WATERS, as per UNCLOS.

Reference is made to "Gibraltar-San Roque oil refinery". GIBRALTAR DOES NOT HAVE AN OIL REFINERY, IT IS TOTALLY SPANISH.

Under "History" it states "alleged Gibraltar territorial waters". FACT: IT IS BRITISH GIBRALTAR TERRITORIAL WATERS under UNCLOS.

Under "External Links - 1.) Mapa Interactivo......(in Spanish). It is the BAY OF GIBRALTAR not Bay of "Algeciras". The erroneous Spanish version has been chosen and am unable to send you two maps I have from the Gibraltar Museum showing the bay by its correct name i.e. Bay of Gibraltar on this talk page.

2.) Under "Bays of Spain" the Bay of Gibraltar is listed under Spain. SPAIN HAS NO BAY OF GIBRALTAR.

Therefore I think that a lot of information on this webpage does not reflect the facts.

Please note I am not very familiar with how talk pages work and apologies for inconveniences.
