Your speedy tag on George R. Austin Intermediate School edit

This page already has several pages linking to it. It is a real school and is noteworthy. External links are provided.

User:69.221.112.125 edit

I just reverted several edits by this user that looked as if they were vandalism. Now I am begining to wonder if it was you while logged out. Here are the users contributions. If it was you then I'm sorry about the rollbacks. Also, I wouldn't put any school (Carlucci American International School of Lisbon) up for deletion as it's hard to find a non-notable school. It's an easy mistake to make but it can sometimes get very heated as people may forget about assuming good faith if you do that. I did it once. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 19:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that. It was the RC page edit that caught my eye followed by the user page edits. I'll try and remember next time. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 12:14, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

User:Hajiwasapunk edit

Please place all test templates, etc. on a user's talk page. Their user page is for them to edit, any messages should be left on the user's talk page. Also, please sign all of your messages with four tildes (~~~~). This will produce your name and the date. Thank you. I have corrected your edit; any more questions can be directed to my talk page. --WillMak050389 15:28, 1 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Signing your db tags edit

Doing NP patrol is helpful and all, but could you please not sign your NP patrol edits with "Thank you NP Patrol"? It's unnecessary, obtrusive, and you're really not supposed to sign article space edits even if it isn't with your username. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 03:42, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Block templates edit

Hi, Wikipedian27. Please don't place {{blocked}} as you did to User talk:TheOne12345 and User talk:TheOne123455 when the users haven't yet been blocked. [1] [2] This is a misleading and incorrect use of the template. Instead, please warn the vandals with the appropriate test templates and report vandalism alerts to WP:AIV, where an admin can be notified quickly and properly block them. Other than that, keep up the good work! Thanks, Sango123 17:28, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Both have now been blocked indefinitely. Thank you, Sango123 17:31, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sure, no problem! :) By the way, only administrators can block users. See you around, Sango123 18:01, 12 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Keyboard edit

It depends on the keyboard you've got; I've got a German one, and it's located on the same tab as the <> (to get a |, you would have to use this tab with alt gr; mind, on a German keyboard). Lectonar 06:04, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pershing Square edit

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have moved the info from Pershing Square (plaza) back to Pershing Square (Los Angeles), as it is historically better known by that denomination. However, as you are working on creating an article on the restaurant by that name in New York, I recreated Pershing Square as a disambig and set up Pershing Square (New York) for your editing IRT the restaurant. Hope this helps.--み使い Mitsukai 13:23, 21 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

How is what I did nonsense? I just said my mind, and on a talk page. If I put " Uskugfskgfhgsfhgsjkdhfgdjfg" then you would have the right to say that to me. But I merely said my mind. SerpentsTail

Fine, now I know there is no such thing as freedom of speech on Wikipedia. SerpentsTail

Jettenbach edit

Hi, 27. Thank you for your vigilance in monitoring new pages. This is my first attempt at translating an article, and I figured the best place to start would be by copying and pasting the original. I see now I've been a little too bold. I was hoping to preserve the original formatting of the page and failed, so I am creating an English-language version from scratch now. I think I may have messed up your speedy deletion box when it told me to merge the articles-- apologies. I'm contesting the deletion, unless you have another reason I should not create the page. (It's for a location-- I thought all locations were relevant for Wikipedia articles, but please let me know if I'm mistaken.) Thanks, LindeeK 13:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC).Reply

Baghdad Market Bombing edit

Do not delete it! I just started it two minutes ago and its already up for deletion! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Little Spike (talkcontribs) 16:34, 3 February 2007 (UTC).Reply

kk I fixed it now and its much longer and looks much better.

Thanks, but some person just created another article for this event! 3 February 2007 Baghdad truck bombing.

Thanks.

And as you can see i have changed it and i hade to do the "nonsense" becuase wikipedia messed things up and i had to test if i could send anything. after that i wrote the article. maybe you just could relax and ask before you act. /matrix17

Rosanne Siino edit

I think you were far too hasty nominating this for deletion. There is no way that it fit the speedy deletion criteria you claimed it did. I have removed the tag, but I think it only fair that I notify you. J Milburn 22:33, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I know and I have been telling everyone I know haha. its so cool, but thanks for helping me get it there.

Dont be so fast on put in speedy delition in a page. i saw that you just went in to cosmo4 and put it in without even take time to actually read any of my aarticles in external links/matrix17

always excuses from the wikipedians edit

always excuses and if you actually took time before you acted out you would find out that is nothing in the article that isnt true. and you cant compare a librarybook to a page on the internet. /matrix17

Cosmo4 edit

An article in need of cleanup is not the same as an article in need of speedy deletion. I would also be careful with WP:CIVIL, as your comments on the creator's talk page could be construed as not the most constructive of criticism. Consider using cleanup tags (or revising the article, since I assume you are fluent in English and can help revise an article created by someone for whom it isn't a native language) instead of tagging for speedy. Your userpage edit

Good afternoon (GMT time); in the spirit of wiki, I've cleaned up your userpage - in particular the userboxes. In my opinion, it looks much better. However, if you decide you like it the way it was before - just revert it: click here, type an edit summary of something along the lines of "revert to last version" and save. The differences between my version and the previous one can be viewed here; to discuss these changes with me, just jump over to my talk page and drop me a message!

Kind regards,

Abuse Reports edit

Hey, I noticed you're pretty active on Wikipedia:Abuse reports, and I had a question. I added a report today for 209.191.8.200, but I put it under the Wikipedia:Abuse_reports#Under_Investigation to take investigation of it myself. Do I have to be an 'official investigator' to do that? Also, as I'm relatively new to this, I'd appreciate any other guidance you have to offer. Thanks! Goatburger 21:58, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Taking over an abuse report case edit

I'd be happy to be a contacter in the case of 66.210.229.135, but don't really know how to go about this on the wiki-side: What should I be doing on project pages to indicate acceptance, etc? Dave 15:42, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

My Answer edit

Click the Edit this Page button, click on the last edit, and then click undo. Which page were you referring to? --PAK Man 23:17, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I think I gave you bad directions earlier. Click on History. The latest edit is at the top of the page. Click on Compare Selected Versions. The one on the right is the latest edit. If you want to revert a revision instead of clicking undo, go back until the version you want to revert to is on the right. Click Edit this Page at the top of the screen. It will tell you that you are editing a prior version of the page, but edit it anyway. But if your patrolling edits on the Recent Edits page, click the link that says 'Diff' on the far left of the screen. You could also check out this link here. Hope this helps! --PAK Man 01:33, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Harassment edit

Hello. I've been having several probelsm with a user that keeps posting my personal information (name, adderss, where i work, and so on) online, mostly at wikipedia in the form of their edit summaries.

The user is User:Silicondirect/User:Sonysnob. he is a troll, is sarcastic, and does not listen to reason. He refuses to contact me, but claims that i block him (the reverse is true). Please do something about this, or i may need to. RingtailedFoxTalkStalk 22:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rollback edit

Use of rollback to revert a good faith edit is prohibited. I tagged the sections as lacking citations and waited 24 hours prior to removal. Kindly don't revert again without including reliable sources. Thanks, Addhoc 23:17, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:U violations edit

Hi, I noticed you reported a few usernames to WP:AIV due to username issues. I'd like to direct you to WP:RFC/N. That's the place where most usernames which aren't a blatant violation of WP:U goes to. Names which are either profane or disgusting are the ones that go to AIV. --wL<speak·check·chill> 23:35, 22 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

User talk:Vivekvaibhawdwivedi edit

What's up with User talk:Vivekvaibhawdwivedi? It looks like you told him about the WP:RFCN on him and then removed it. He should be told about it, as the RFCN seems active to me... -SpuriousQ (talk) 03:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edited, not vandalized edit

I removed completely irrelevant information, as it was NOT a reference to the creature, thus had no reason to be on the page. Please to not automatically revert me without waiting to see if I note a change in the discussion page. I wasn't vandalizing it, I was removing irrelevant information. Magicflyinlemur 21:20, 24 February 2007 (UTC)\Reply

--Update: It didn't need a source, it had no business being on the article. The reference in question was a reference to the concept of rancor, the state of ire or anger, not the beast from Star Wars. THe statement itself said that it had nothing to do with the creature, so why was there any point in it being on the page?? It's not like I was editing anything controversial; that's pretty much not worth the effort on Wikipedia. I was just trimming a little excess fat off the article. Magicflyinlemur 21:33, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kudos to BlackBear for alertness in vandalistic text deletion edit

Thanks for your work on Haraldskaer Woman to restore sourced material. In this case the text is closely related to its source; if that researcher is in error, it is clearly the responsibility of the new editor to give an alternate source. If any editor has a desire to edit sourced material he/whe can use the talk page or perform a more surgical edit. I think massive deletion of sourced text is one of Wikipedia's biggest threats, and I appreciate your alertness and strength to stand up to such vandalism. Cheers. Jargon of The Rush Limbaugh Show edit

Thanks for your note. Yes, in general I agree that there should be a source request tag appleid before material is removed (except violations of WP:BLP that should be removed immediately). That's why I applied a tag to the whole page on January 29. [3] I also discused the issue on the talk page: Talk:Jargon of The Rush Limbaugh Show#Selective sources. Then I applied source request tags to individual sections before deleting material, starting February 16.[4] While I haven't aadded the redundant tag to every section, I've always left one up before doing more deletions.[5][6][7][8], etc. So I have taken this very slowly with plenty of notification. -Will Beback · · 22:37, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

My recent edit to this page was not vandalism but an error correction. Live at Wembley appeared twice in both the albums and the DVDs. Speedy delete on 1593 in music edit

I was just wondering why you put a speedy delete on the article 1593 in music, which I just created. I'm not saying it's not a short article, but it is no shorter than many of the other pre-existing "year in music" articles. I'm not familiar with the project that has created them, but I was under the impression that the goal was to find meaningful events for every year. Did you "prod" the article because you think 1593 was a particularly barren year in music, or do you intend to prod many other musical years also? I removed the tag, but feel free to add an AFD. It might be good to have a wider discussion about this. - Geoffg 21:50, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
