Please see WP:UNDUE - "Undue weight applies to more than just viewpoints. An article should not give undue weight to any aspects of the subject but should strive to treat each aspect with a weight appropriate to its significance to the subject. For example, discussion of isolated events, criticisms, or news reports about a subject may be verifiable and neutral, but still be disproportionate to their overall significance to the article topic. This is a concern especially in relation to recent events that may be in the news. Note that undue weight can be given in several ways, including, but not limited to, depth of detail, quantity of text, prominence of placement, and juxtaposition of statements."

There is no way that four paragraphs of text about an event that barely qualifies as news is suitable for a biography that is already extremely heavily slanted toward Tourism WA related matters, and only ever "controversial" items that get added. Camw (talk) 23:51, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the advice. Yes its not easy trying to present the facts as one would in normal news style editorial, when there are a whole range of diferent and complex guidelines at play. I have just posted a clean up to the Oprah story and would appreciate your review of this. Thank you. Cookshat

Hi Carol, Thanks for the advice on the Jemma Green occupation clarification. I guess the term "Independent" is the point of contention as there is no Independence in a faction or voting block. Thank you. Cookshat (talk) 05:16, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
