Speedy deletion nomination of User:Controlled Irrigation edit

- (Non-administrator comment) @Controlled irrigation: I have to say that is not the case. A very good reason for the block has already been been provided, and is in the notice itself: that the only purpose of your account on Wikipedia is to spam us. That is, the user page you created was, I seem to remember, purely an advert for a company. Wikipedia does not allow blatent advertising anywhere on the site (see WP:PROMO), but particularly on usr pages (also see WP:User pages#What may I not have in my user pages? for more detail on that). And, incidentally, there is a futher issue- your username. At the moment your username suggests that you represent an organisation in order to promote it: WP:ORGNAME applies. I know that's a lot of policy to look at- but it's all extremely relevant to your case, and certainly provides detailed reason in answer to your unblock request. I suppose, if you were to apply (here) for a change of name, and then swore to the administrator who reviews your request that you will never attempt to start an article on a company that you have any conflict of interest in, or make any promotional edits to existing articles or pages, then there is a small chance you maybe unblocked. But, frankly, if your sole intention was to advertise, then this is simply the wrong place for you- other places exist for that kind of thing. Cheers, — fortunavelut luna 12:06, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
