Chloroacetic acids

Hi Conrad. I reverted your edits to chloroacetic acid and dichloroacetic acid. You changed the IUPAC names to chloroethanoic acid and dichloroethanoic acid, respectively, which are in fact incorrect. See http://www.acdlabs.com/iupac/nomenclature/93/r93_705.htm for the rule. Acetic acid is the preferred IUPAC name, an exception to the rule (and there are many exceptions), with unlimited substitution allowed.

Don't let this discourage you from editing, though! Why not join Wikipedia:Wikiproject Chemistry and contribute to more chemistry articles on Wikipedia?

Section heading style

Fair use rationale for Image:Perse girls logo.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Perse girls logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. The procedures described in Wikipedia:Dispute resolution, including RfCs and mediation, are generally helpful. Getting additional users involved often changes the dynamic of a dispute. Deletion of MKR

You voted Keep on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MKR (programming language), writing "The information is clearly verifiable, and the article is well cited, so I see no reason to delete.".

Can you find any citation in that article that shows notability? The three notes associated with "attention of a wider audience" are all just short entries in exhaustive lists of programming languages or knowledge engineering tools. --John Nagle (talk) 21:23, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

http://www.hymnswithoutwords.com/Mp3Handler.zip It contains non-free software (dewplayer) so it won't be added to MediaWiki SVN, but you can use it legally without paying. Conrad.Irwin (on wikt) 18:17, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

removal of vendor lock-in from sybase profile

I felt it added subtle bias to the article. While it is undeniably true that using Microsoft SQL Server locks you in to using only one operating system, that is not really relevant when reading an article about Sybase. Conrad.Irwin (on wikt) 22:01, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
