Talk:Religion and abortion

edit

Could you please join the discussion at Talk:Religion and abortion. You have completely erased a number of my contribution with no edit summary. On wikipedia, the content you contribute is most likely going to be changed, at some point, by other editors. We all work together here, however, your latest edits seemed to ignore my concerns. Therefore, I have brought up my issues on the talk page. Your input there would be greatly appreciated.-Andrew c 23:07, 16 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop editing the article during a content dispute, and instead come to Talk:Religion and abortion where we are discussing your edits. Maybe we can reach a compromise, or maybe you can explain your edits in a manner where you will change our minds (or vice versa). Wikipedia is about working together and collaborating. Ignoring the concerns of others, and reverting content without discussion is considered edit warring. You cannot simply force controversial edits. That isn't how wikipedia works. Thanks for your consideration.-Andrew c 14:16, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Denied Holy Communion" equals "Excommunication." Individuals who are in a state of sin can resolve this through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Pro-choice politicians have moved past that point. Use of the term ipso facto latae sententiae would be redundant.

I am also enjoying the post here suggesting that this account be blocked for telling the truth. The facts are what they are. If that makes abortion lovers uncomfortable, so be it. If it means I have to sign up for a new account, so be it. The official Catholic policy on abortion is that it is murder. Period.

Pro-abortion politicians who call themselves "Catholic," such as Rudy Giuliani or John Kerry have merely invented their own new religion which resembles Catholicism, the same way Henry VIII did before them. Catholicism is not a buffet, and it is not a democracy. There is no "picking and choosing." The Vatican's word is final. Nobody is forced to accept the Church's instruction, but saying one is a Catholic, while at the same time advocating for what is essentially mass murder in the Church's view, is essentially the same thing as saying "I am a Catholic who doesn't accept that Christ was the Son of God." It simply doesn't work.

To sum up: Feel free to continue advocating for legalized infanticide, as is your right. But stop trying to change the Roman Catholic Church's position, which is very clear -that life begins at conception, and therefore all abortions are murder. According to the Church, in God's eyes all accomplices to murder (even those who only comit the sin in their hearts) are also guilty. I doubt that you are a Catholic, or this understanding would be second nature to you.

Every time you edit the article to soften the Church's stance, it will be corrected.conpresidio9

I have moved your comment to Talk:Religion and abortion because that is where discussion on content concerning specific articles go (and that way other users can join in on the conversation). Please join us there. Thanks.-Andrew c 16:06, 17 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry Andrew, but I really don't have much interest in "talking" with you, as long as you persist in spreading lies about my religion. As far as the Catholic Church is concerned, abortion is always murder. Period. As a matter of fact, Archbishop Angelo Amato, secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, today (04/23/07) equated abortion and euthanasia with terrorism. You are free to pick whatever position you choose on any political topic, but please stop making attempts to change my Church's because it is not in agreement with your own. That's censorship. Thanks, and God bless you.
