{{helpme}} I am new to posting on wiki. I went to "WP:IOWN" and I don't know what to do next exactly. There are, it appears to me, 3 options. (A: stating on the article's talk page that you are the copyright holder of the work, while not likely to prevent deletion, helps.) how do I do this? (B: It is sufficient to either: Make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL at the site of the original publication;) Again, I don't know how to do this, but I'm willing to do whatever is necessary. What is GFDL and how do i make a note at the site of the original publication. (C: or Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation. ) I did do this and my email is below, but I've not heard back from anyone yet

I tried to search "North East Chinese Basketball League on wiki, and it appears to be totally deleted. Please advise . Thank you. Confucius7 (talk) 16:47, 18 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi there!
I will have a look for your email on commons, and respond here soon. Please could you tell me which article you intend to add the information to? Cheers!  Chzz  ►  12:37, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
The article has not been deleted yet; it was just a warning message about possible copyright violation.
I'm not sure why you didn't find the article; perhaps you typed it in a different way, without a capital, or something?
For your info, to link to an article, enclose it in [[ ]] like [[North East Chinese Basketball League]], which produces a link like this; North East Chinese Basketball League. That links to the current article.
For more help with this, see WP:LINKING.
I'm just waiting for someone from commons to search for your email; if it checks out OK, all will be well. More soon. Best,  Chzz  ►  12:56, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Your email was received; it has been filed, and a note has been added to the articles discussion page to explain that copyright permission has been granted, in Talk:North East Chinese Basketball League.
I will now make some edits, to improve the article - I notice that the layout is not quite the same as other Wikipedia articles. You will be able to see all the changes that I make in the 'history' tab of the article.
If you require any further help, please either add another {{helpme}} to the end of this page, with your question, or you could talk to us live. Best wishes,  Chzz  ►  13:00, 19 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!
