Hi!

What's the problem with Ephraim I? --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 21:17, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

I listed it at WP:RFD. The issue is that this person doesn't appear to be commonly known as "Ephraim I," while a google search turned up another potential use for it. Compassionate727 (talk) 21:18, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi! I know, there are more potential uses. I'm creating dozens of dab pages, but I start with what I find first as redirection and when I find another use, I convert the redirection into a dab page. What's the other use? Thanks. --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 21:24, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
The google search turned up a "Dr. Ephraim I." I'm not sure what it is, but that's what I found. Anyway, we should probably be having this discussion at WP:RFD. Compassionate727 (talk) 21:25, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
I can't find the section for Ephraim I at WP:RFD... --ExperiencedArticleFixer (talk) 21:31, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

It's under the stuff listed on July 13 (no idea why). Compassionate727 (talk) 21:50, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Damascus International Airport revision

Greetings,

I took out those last two airline entries because it was apparent that those were bogus entries. There's no such company as "Kinda Airlines."

Because of the Syrian Civil War, it's incredibly difficult to get updated and accurate information regarding air service to and from Damascus. It's quite possible that the remaining entries are out of date, or have very sporadic service. But at least those are the names of legitimate airlines, so I left those untouched. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.176.119.211 (talk) 17:56, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Alright. You should explain that in you're edit summary. Compassionate727 (talk) 18:08, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

"Dino Time"

In the article for the film Dino Time I believe that the "Crew" section should be eliminated. No other article about a movie in Wikipedia has a section called "Crew," and none features one ugly run-on sentence. Also, I believe we should do away with the "Storyline" section altogether because: 1) it's simply a short restatement of the plot, which makes its existence purely redundant; and 2) it sounds more like an advertisement than an informative piece. Therefore, I have reason to believe neither section should be kept.

Please let me know if you agree at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

FYI

Hello C. I saw your edits at the Teahouse/Questions notice board. As you saw just using [[Category:2014 songs]] puts the whole page in the category. If you add a colon after the first set of brackets like this [[:Category:2014 songs]] then it stays with the post that you made and it like this Category:2014 songs. I went ahead and did this at your thread. I hope that is okay with you and please feel free to remove it if it isn't. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 13:57, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Ah, cool. Thanks. Compassionate727 (talk) 13:58, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
You are welcome. I made the same mistake a couple times until someone pointed this out to me. Happy editing! MarnetteD|Talk 14:01, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Six too many

In the last 24 hours I have reverted six of your speedy tags on redirects. I have blocked you briefly. When your block expires please find other things to do and stop tagging any redirects. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:17, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Redirects

Hey Compassionate, Redirects aren't a bad niche to get into at Wikipedia. I found them to be quite fascinating which is why I spend a lot of time at WP:RFD. I'd like to give you a little advice that I'd hope you take to heart before you get back to working on redirects:

  1. Please do not use R3. If you have doubts about the plausibility of redirects, nominate them at RFD instead. (I think I've used R3 maybe twice. Ever.)
  2. Please look to see what kind of redirects are deleted and which are kept. WP:RFDO can give you a good idea of that. Also, looking through the archives can give you a good idea of what to expect. You can find them at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log.
  3. If you DO end up nominating a redirect for RFD, try to use one of the rationales found at WP:RFD#DELETE and compare it to the rationales found at WP:RFD#KEEP. If that redirect fits at least one of the delete rationales and NONE of the keep, then you have a case for nominating it.
  4. You have a lot of people who are willing to help you out. If you have any questions about how Wikipedia operates, you can find help at the Teahouse or at a knowledgeable editor's talk page (or even here).

I'm sorry about your block, but I hope you listen to what other people are telling you and take their advice. You can be a great member of this community if you are willing to learn. Let me know if you have any questions, I have this page on my watchlist. All the best, -- Tavix (talk) 16:14, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm glad to see that you're back. Happy editing! -- Tavix (talk) 17:47, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Manfred Buchroithner

Hi,
here you added an unreferenced section tag. I have today added references to almost every statement. Are you content about it so we can remove the tag?
I wish you a nice sunday-residual.

That's very good. Thanks! Compassionate727 (talk) 19:51, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
Thank you for your answer. I have now removed the tag.

Robert Drummond Balfour

Hello

I've had a 'speedy deletion tag' attached to an article i wrote a few days ago (Robert Drummond Balfour) because you believe it reads like an advert. Can you tell me what you think I'm advertising? This is an article about a Victorian cricketer; i'm just trying to fill in a few gaps which exist in the lists of Oxford and Cambridge cricket players.

Many ThanksNdstead (talk) 11:46, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi. The article seems to focus mainly on the person's career. This can lead to a lopsided article and other related issues. Nevertheless, the speedy deletion was inappropriate. Now it's just an {{advert}} tag. Compassionate727 (talk) 12:11, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
I took a second look at the article. I think you just need to improve the lead. Compassionate727 (talk) 12:17, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Hello again Thanks very much for removing the speedy deletion tag. I notice the tag about the introduction is still there. As you know it takes a bit of time and trouble to put together even a relatively short article like this one. If you don't like the introduction would it not be more helpful to make the relevant edit(s) that you think would improve the article rather than just tag it, which I assume just takes a few seconds? I think most people welcome constructive edits to the articles they have created. Do you see what I mean?

Thanks
