- the oldest article was retrieved back in 2013, and given the fact that Michael Ferland is a fairly new player in the NHL I would say that 2013 is a reasonable up to date source.Collett96 (talk) 22:20, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

- majority of the cited sources have been retrieved from newspaper articles either from the Calgary Sun or the Calgary Herald. so they might be slightly bias mainly because Ferland plays out of Calgary. However, there are a few Sports Networks and other hockey related sources as well.Collett96 (talk) 22:20, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

- Ferland's hockey career, personal life, and career statistics have all been validly discussed. However, in the article it does mention Ferland's alcoholism during his time in the WHL and AHL. Personally, I find this very inspiring that he was able to recover with the help of a former player and coach.
