When Troute Lake Dam was Constructed

My assumption was that the dam was constructed in 1891 with the rest of the Ames power plant but I couldn't find anything to back it up. This and This (page 115) are the only sources I could find that would say when the dam was constructed. the second source says "about 1894" and the second source says 1894 in one sentence but on another sentence it says it was built in 1891. I thought it was best to not say the exact year because I'm uncertain (although my gut says 1891). If someone else can find a more reliable source please add it.
