Progressive Christianity edit

You repeatedly insert a paragraph into the lead section of the article on Progressive Christianity. Others have removed your insertion. I have refrained from doing so until just now. I removed the second sentence, but left the first. Indeed, I am sure that some see the term “Progressive Christianity” as a misnomer. Likely, many proponents of Progressive Christianity do think that those who hold a more traditional view are not forward looking, or not as forward looking, at least in some areas. That is the nature of different viewpoints. No one holds a viewpoint that they don't think is, in some way, more correct than the oposing viewpoints.

My problem with your assertion is the second sentence. First, I do not believe that the proponents of Progressive Christianity do seek to bypass the cross. Your statement here is unsupported by anything in the article and you have provided no references. I consider myself to be a Progressive Christian and I do not seek to bypass the cross. Furthermore, I am not sure how that viewpoint, which I don't hold and which I don't believe is common among Progressive Christians, would correctly be labeled as “regressive”. “Wrong” perhaps or “un-Christian”, but not “regressive”.

Whatever the case, it does not serve any of us to have this paragraph repeatedly inserted and deleted from the article. Thus, I have added a section on the talk page to discuss its inclusion. Please, before further insertion or deletion, contribute to the discussion. Let us work together to improve the article. Sterrettc (talk) 18:32, 12 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I saw that you put a talkback template on my talk page. I think you should have substituted ColinAStrong where it said LittleWink. I look forward to seeing your comments. Sterrettc (talk) 18:52, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
