Hello! Thanks for the enthusiasm in your editing on Wikipedia, however we would ask that you please not update hockey player statistics mid-season, as it is uncyclopedic and causes problems with updating the final statistics at the end of the season. As well it clogs up the history pages in the article, and there really is no need for it on Wikipedia, as there are many other websites listing day-to-day hockey statistics. And since the statistics will not be updated on a day-to-day basis we suggest to not update them at all until the regular hockey season is ended. If you have a problem with this feel free to voice your concerns at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ice Hockey. Thank you, and I encourage you to keep on editing on Wikipedia. Fair use images

edit

Hello. While we appreciate your efforts, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted images uploaded under a fair use claim where free images exist. This is an official policy at Wikipedia. As such, I have reverted your edit at Jarome Iginla. While your image is certantly a higher quality one, it does not satisfy Wikipedia's policies. Thank you, Resolute 23:34, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Joker, by Alex Ross.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Joker, by Alex Ross.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:23, 31 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~CS 04:23, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

You need to check the Joker talk page history. Many people have already weighed on the issue of what picture should be included, including which image best serves project goals and which best fits the guidelines for the main image. Even some people who previously preferred the Ross image revert attempts to change the image because they work with the consensus that has been achieved. To change the image, you need to read the history of the reasons behind the current image and then, if you still disagree, make your case on the talk page. Above all, be civil and assume good faith. Your reverts to Two-Face

edit

Your claim that the Tim Sale style art and representation of Two-Face is the most widely recognized is Original Research. Do not revert the image again. You have NO grounds for it. If you think you have a genuine case for the change, Bring it to the talk page. Do not revert again. ThuranX 03:48, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do not come to my page trolling for a fight. Use the page's talk. ThuranX 04:00, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

How is Sale's art more representative of Two-Face than Adam's? Sale's art is more cartoony and less-realistic. The quality of the scan is poor. And Two-Face usually has hair on the scarred side of his head. --DrBat 18:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Killingjokeart.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Killingjokeart.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. GentlemanGhost 18:51, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Two-Face. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Orphaned non-free image (Image:DentLH.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DentLH.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:01, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use disputed for Image:Venom.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Venom.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:52, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Jarome-Iginla.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 15:36, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
