Proposed deletion of Erik Tack edit

The article Erik Tack has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Wgolf (talk) 17:58, 5 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Felix Strackx edit

I was going on the website for the Flemish Parliament. Without something in the intro to say what he is notable for, the article doesn't qualify for inclusion in wikipedia. Perhaps I should delete it? Deb (talk) 09:03, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and the website says that he was in the Parliament till 24 May 2014, see this page: [1]. He was notable because he WAS in the Parliament, but currently isn't. Kind regards, Coldbolt (talk) 09:06, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I think I get it now. The English was so bad that I thought the last paragraph referred to him being a provincial councillor. I'll add the missing reference. Deb (talk) 09:19, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
It's alright. Sorry for my bad English. I will try to write things better in next articles. Coldbolt (talk) 09:22, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
I apologise; I didn't mean to be so critical. However, I had to use Google Translate to read the reference, so I was working slightly in the dark. I'll be glad to collaborate with you on future articles if I can help. Deb (talk) 10:21, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
No problem, I understand. Thankyou for your corrections :) Coldbolt (talk) 15:22, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Ray Charles discography edit

Long story short, the template itself was miscoded. I couldn't actually find a working example, so recoded it to be more robust. Adam Cuerden (talk) 19:31, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thankyou!! Coldbolt (talk) 19:32, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
That was a weird one, by the way. One presumes these things would work, and when they don't.... that's a bit of a surprise. Adam Cuerden (talk) 19:34, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I don't know much about all these codes and templates, only the "basics". When I, for example, need a new template I usually copy another one and edit a few things. But thanks again for making the corrections, the image now shows up at least :) Coldbolt (talk) 19:44, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Turbinoliidae edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Turbinoliidae, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: turbinoliidae. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:00, 25 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hegron Cosmetics edit

The basic problems with your article were

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not normally acceptable include those linked to the company, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. You gave some references, but they were all to the company's own website, no independent third-party sources
  • it's all about what the company sells, little about the company itself other than locations. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits.

Thank you for your edits. Use the edit summary. It helps to know what you've done. I don't use it for very minor edits, but using it is a good habit to get into. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 02:47, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for letting me know! I'll pay attention to it. Coldbolt (talk) 10:00, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

It would be redundant to start another section for this since it relates. I started a discussion on Trident varieties in their various lines as well as past flavours. Input is appreciated. Thanks. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 10:25, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I see you added Maple Leaf varieties to the list. You didn't add any descriptions. Some flavours are a no-brainer. But what is "Longfresh?" What kind of mint is "Blue Mint?" What is "Kosher Fruit?" A description for those would be helpful if you can find them. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 13:51, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I see the link you used to cite Maple Leaf varieties of gum isn't properly formatted. Since the site is not in English, that has to be in the citation. WP:CITET has all the templates you need for various types of citations. The one you'd use for this one is the cite web. The second cite web template is all you need since there isn't a lot to fill in. One thing you do need though is the language. If you need help with formatting references, let me know. Never leave them bare. That's lazy sourcing. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 14:06, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pinging edit

I see you've been told about pinging. What they do is notify the person you're replying to that you've responded to them. It makes it easier for me, for instance, as I may forget to check or may not even check. With the two discussions I started here, I would have never known you responded to me if I didn't check. You can use [[User:Example]], {{u|Example}}, {{User|Example}}, {{user link|Example}}, {{ping|Example}}, {{Yo|Example}}, or {{reply to|Example}}. Obviously you put the appropriate username as these are examples. Use any of them on any and all talk pages expect mine when responding to someone. "Cars discontinued" edit

I notice your adding categories for discontinuation dates to various automobile articles. End dates are not always clear, with some countries manufacturing models after manufacture has ended in the mother plant. For other models, license production may continue under other names. End dates are thus frequently unclear and tend to lead to a lot of disputing, so I am not sure that adding them is useful work. I suggest visiting Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles for more input. Thanks.  Mr.choppers | ✎  04:11, 13 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Criterta for article assessment edit

I noticed that you assessed the article Arnold Adriaan Buyskes for three projects as "start-class". Could you enlighten me on the grounds for this assessment? What was specifically wrong with it? Ereunetes (talk) 23:32, 30 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, it might be a C class article, so rating it Start class is my mistake, but it is not a B class article, as it fails one or more of the criteria. In short for it to be rated B-class "Readers are not left wanting, although the content may not be complete enough to satisfy a serious student or researcher." You can read more about the criteria here: Wikipedia:Content assessment Hope it's clear. Coldbolt (talk) 13:39, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you had assessed it as C-class you would not have heard a peep out of me. I was almost moved to tears seeing that MilHistBot (which usually has it in for me :-) rated it as B-class. But you don't have to do that. C-class is good enough. I am waiting with bated breath. Ereunetes (talk) 23:53, 1 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:QuookerLogo.png edit

The file File:QuookerLogo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Redundant to superior free SVG file File:Quooker logo.svg, which I just uploaded to Commons and replaced in the article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 02:40, 11 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kit Kat edit

You added over 100 Kit Kats to the List of chocolate bar brands, they weren't added due to the fact they're are hundreds of different kinds worldwide. Adding those would be like adding every single Trident to the List of chewing gum brands. There are hundreds of varieties and flavours. They would be too numerous to list. Due to the fact there are hundreds worldwide, that's why all those KitKats weren't added to begin with. In your edit summary, you said you'd add description (which was in January) and you've failed to do that. Since you added that many, descriptions would be helpful for the reader. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 19:18, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Also, if they're Japanese Kit Kat and only available in Japan and or other countries other then the United States, you only put Nestle not both. Oh and you don't need to put "in the United States" in each variant available in United States since that's already mentioned in the initial entry. Variations such as Kit Kat Chunk Peanut Butter is not only found in Japan. You can find it in Canada too. So you need to make sure when adding to the list of any chocolate bar (not just Kit Kat variations), you add all countries (if not completely worldwide) to distribution. Your contributed article, Karel 5 edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Karel 5. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Restaurant Karel 5. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Restaurant Karel 5. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Schminnte (talk contribs) 00:36, 1 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

You added MrBeast Bars to the List of chocolate bar brands. I edited the main entry that was the general overview of the brand not Original Chocolate. I put Original Chocolate in the variants. You didn't add descriptions of each bar along with references. You need to do that. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 10:10, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Discussion - Chocolate content edit

There is a discussion at Talk:List of chocolate bar brands#Chocolate content. This was never brought up in the inclusion discussion. It's about the percentage of chocolate in a bar to be considered for inclusion in the list. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated.
