Sunburst Community edit

Hi,

Your new article Sunburst Community has been nominated to be featured on the front page as part of Wikipedia's Did you know project. One reviewer has raised concerns, however, about the fact that the article is orphaned (meaning that few other articles link to it) and uncategorized. These are the only things keeping it from qualifying right now, so if you could fix those we could qualify the article right away. Normally I would fix those things myself, but I don't know enough about the Sunburst Community to be able to think of related articles that could link to it.

Categories are links you add to the bottom of the article that puts the article into a "category" of related articles. Look at the bottom of the Shenzhou 7 article for an example of categories in use. You can add categories by typing [[Category:______]] at the bottom of the edit window, replacing ______ with the name. The best way to find good categories to add is probably to look at articles about places similar to the Sunburst Community, and see what categories they have.

To de-orphan the article, you can go to articles that are related to Sunburst Community and might mention it, and add text about the community in those articles; putting "Sunburst Community" in </nowiki>[[ ]]</nowiki> brackets will make that article link back to yours. You can check how many articles link to Sunburst Community by clicking "what links here" on the left-hand toolbar of Sunburst community article.

Thank you, —Politizer talk/contribs 14:39, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I didn't reply earlier edit

Hi,

I'm sorry I wasn't able to make the edits described above. Someone else was kind enough to do it for me, I see. If there's anything else I should do, please let me know.

Trading halt edit

Hi. I like your work on this article. I am concerned, though, that it's pretty US-centric. Can you generalise it to a global audience? - Richard Cavell (talk) 06:41, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Trading halt reply edit

Thanks for the compliment. I'll search for some info on markets outside of the U.S. and see what I can find. - ColdPopTart (talk) 16:53, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Fatkat.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Fatkat.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:08, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Fatkat lg.gif) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Fatkat lg.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:26, 12 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "BetterTrades" edit

A page you created, BetterTrades, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how it is important or significant, and thus why it should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for companies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Proposed deletion of BetterTrades edit

The article BetterTrades has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:promo, WP:GNG - no reliable sources on subject

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
