Proposed deletion of Prime Van Lines

edit

The deletion of an article you created, Prime Van Lines, has been proposed for the following reason:

I feel that this is only an advertising page as the account was created and then started this article right away.

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Additionally, since Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, content inappropriate for an encyclopedia, or content that would be more suited to somewhere else (such as a directory or social networking website) is not acceptable. See What Wikipedia is not for the relevant policy. You may wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Gorlack36 (talk) 21:49, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please let me finish the article and add more references. It will be more fun to delete it then. Gee, it hasn't even been read yet and already marked for deletion. Happy holidays. codecore (talk)22:59, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

You just registered and started making the article, it's obviously that you're just trying to advertise. Also, it doesn't matter if you want to wait till it's "more fun" to delete it; I put it up for deletion since I feel you're just using Wikipedia as advertisment space. Gorlack36 (talk) 23:02, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is just your opinion. I am simply learning how to create a new article from scratch. codecore

No, it is a fact that you made this article directly after you created your account. It is my opinion that you're doing it for advertising. However, if you want to play around and learn things, I suggest trying here. Gorlack36 (talk) 23:33, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Totally agree. That's exactly what I was saying. Sorry, didn't know about the sandbox. codecore

I was sure you got a few links when you signed up with an account... Anyway I'll post a few links that should help you. Help Section, [to get help]. The chat is uaully for quick info such as why you can't edit an article how you want to and so on. Also, enjoy editing! Gorlack36 (talk) 23:57, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Unfortunately very few people read manuals carefully and I am no exception. It took an hour just to figure out how to make references. codecore

To be perfectly honesty with you, I can barely do most things myself with wikis. Referencing being something I don't know how to do. But it's not that hard to figure out how Wiki works. Most of the time you should go straight to the chat room and ask there if you're unsure of things. Mostly because you might be completely unaware of something and you'll learn something new. Also I've decided that since it was done for me, I should in turn, do it for you so I've added a new section. I hope you enjoy and you're welcome.

A belated welcome!

Speedy deletion nomination of Prime Van Lines

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prime Van Lines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —C.Fred (talk) 19:45, 5 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Matt Cutts

edit

Do NOT continue to restore speedy tags to Matt Cutts. The article simply does not qualify under that criteria. If you feel the article is still not appropriate, please see WP:DEL#PROCESSES. The next level of deletion request is WP:PROD; and if that is also removed, the next level is to go through the WP:AFD process to get community discussion. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 19:44, 22 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

This article is not eligible for PROD as it has previously gone to AfD - see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Matt Cutts, which resulted in consensu of 'keep' - please take back to WP:AFD and open a second discussion. Regards, GiantSnowman 22:28, 22 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
