Hi User:HJ Mitchell

I understand Wikipedia's policy regarding an institution editing its own Wikipedia page. However, it is important that the User:Clocktower Productions page be unblocked and able to edit the Art International Radio, within the guidelines set forth by Wikipedia, because the current information on this institution is outdated and no longer accurate. It does not appropriately describe the institution's current name, activities, or geographical location. Please enable a team of editors to address this issue so information on Clocktower Productions (formerly Art International Radio) can be accurate online. This is for the benefit of this non profit institution's artists, audiences, and constituents

So many problems. First, your user name breeches our policies because it represents an organisation or company, You should nevertheless have been that you can appeal the block, see below

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Secondly, you used your user page to promote an organisation. A user page is for an individual to tell us a bit about themselves, not to write what amounts to an article about a company.

Thirdly, your article Clocktower Productions was a copyright infringement of this page. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. The copied page clearly says © 2014 |There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Fourthly, Art International Radio is also basically spam, I've nominated it for deletion.

Fifthly Please enable a team of editors to address this issue... This is for the benefit of this non profit institution's artists, audiences, and constituents — You should be editing as an individual, not posting on behalf of any organisation.

Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising platform. you have ignored our policies, choosing a user name that represents your organisation, using your user page to promote that organisation, and posting copyrighted text, which is not legal. There is no way I am going to unblock you or allow you to post copyright spam. If you feel that you have a case, appeal vis the process above, which will be considered by someone else. There were steps taken to rectify this account, and to clean up the content. A complete rewrite of the page was done in sandbox, but there is a tremendous backlog with Wikipedia editors so it could be a while before the page is approved. Was the Clocktower Productions page deleted? If I were to try to put the sandbox draft into article space, should I create a new Clocktower Productions page, or is there still one left?
