I saw your blog entry when I was monitoring the coverage of the Wikimedia Foundation gender gap issue in the media, and I was extremely pleased to see that you started the WikiProject Women's History.

I've been contributing to English Wikipedia since 2005 and know that the encyclopedia lacks coverage of many remarkable women. Even some of the most obvious topics such as leaders in United States women's suffrage movement are lacking good coverage at national level and may be completely lacking coverage at the state level. The same is true of women who were trailblazers in science, politics, and writers where there is pretty good documentation about the work that these women did. Last year during U.S. Women's History month I found loads of low hanging fruit to write about. See my user page for a list of the ones that I did then.

Hi, I was wondering why this list doesn't exist yet, List of women who sparked a revolution and I finally got tired of looking for it, and created it! :) If you have any ideas about how it should be used, or where it needs to be linked, or how to improve it, or how to expand it, I'm open. Women's History collaboration

Hello! I wanted to ask your thoughts on a collaboration project before posting on the project Talk page. At the beginning of the project there was a lot of hustle and bustle but that appears to have tapered off. Some sort of collaboration would re-energize the project and get some notice on the Community portal. I would be more than happy to help but have no experience on the technical end of setting something up. Some ideas I have seen:

1. Move stub/start class article to C/B or better (x number per person for month, x number for entire project)
2. Create x articles from redlinks, so many per person and for entire project
3. Pick a high importance but C/B class and get to a GA nomination
4. Add pictures/infoboxes to x number of articles that currently have none
5. Remove x references needed or other chosen tags

Possibly we could do several and pre-plan. For instance do the redlinks in June then the stubs in August. Given the large scope of the project we could also choose to focus on a certain area, ie military, sports, political leaders. I'm hoping that with variety we might interest different editors. Members' input needed at WikiProject Women's History

Hello. I'm writing to you as your name is listed on the members page for WikiProject Women's History. In recent discussions at the project, most notably here, several members have indicated that the scope of the project may need to be more clearly defined and communicated. I have set up a workshop page for this, but it obviously needs as wide a participation as possible to achieve genuine consensus and to allow the project to move forward. Women's History Project – Final call for comments on the Scope draft

Our workshop on revising and clarifying the scope of our project has produced a draft outlining our project's scope and criteria for article inclusion. There's a separate section beneath it for final comments, which will remain open through Tuesday, June 14th.
