Second ascent of The Nose edit

Hello, You are correct that the ascent took place in '60 not '61. However, I think you are wrong that Yvon Chouinard was not on that climb. See Chris Jones, Climbing in North America UC Press and AAC, 1976 pages 275 - 276. Can you provide a reference that Chouinard was not on the climb? Cullen328 (talk) 03:10, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for providing an abundance of sources . I am away from my computer and library, and am responding from a smart phone. I apologize for the error and feel free to rewrite wherever the error appears. I will check it all out and see whether I screwed up or Chris Jones did. My apologies. Source of my error edit

Jones page 275 has a photo with a caption reading "Yvon Chouinard and Tom Frost set out to repeat the first four pitches of the Nose, 1960." This must have been a limited test climb which I confused with the 2nd ascent. I regret this error and wish I had done more checking when you brought it to my attention a while ago. Thanks for persisting. Cullen328 (talk) 05:43, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for explaining, Jim - I understand what happened. I presume you will revert the edit, to remove the sentence again?

I approve of your edits and again apologize for the error. Cullen328 (talk) 06:05, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
