Unexplained article restoration

Hi there, I've noticed that you've restored five articles related to Three's Company with no explanation.[1][2][3][4][5]. Each of these was previously redirected by AldezD in good faith on the basis that the articles didn't properly demonstrate that the general notability guideline had been met. I don't see that you've improved the article or addressed Aldez's concerns in any way, nor do I see that you've attempted to discuss this with anyone, so I'm curious on what basis you can justify restoring those articles. Chrissy Snow was in Category:Articles with redirect hatnotes needing review, because Christmas Snow redirects to List of Three's Company characters#Chrissy Snow, and I get annoyed anytime I am obligated to do maintenance on articles about fictional characters. Uncredited roles need sources

When adding information to Wikipedia, it's best to start with a reliable source, and use that as the basis for what you put into an article. (It's easy, then, obviously, to add an inline citation, which will usually protect your text from being deleted.)

Personal knowledge (recognizing an actor when you view a movie, for example), or something you've read in a discussion group, or something that you heard a friend mention, should not be the basis for changing a Wikipedia article. If you can't find a reliable source for what you want to add, and then use that source to change the Wikipedia article, well, there are lots of other Wikipedia articles that need improving, articles where you can find reliable sources as the basis for changes.

Would you consider using edit summaries so everyone can understand your edits better. In addition, where you have made changes to character duration dates - where did you get that information from? For instance, I knew Doreen Corkhill's duration was incorrect. I couldn't find a source to change it. I also could not find a source for her last appearance? And where did you get Sinbad's duration from? The character list contains a large amount of redirects to the list itself, redlinks and links needing disambiguation. Brookside

In Alan Partridge's article you added a series of relatives to the info box. Do they ever appear or are they just mentioned by Alan? Also how do we know for definite that Alan's father's surname was also Partridge? Molly only mentioned that he was named Cyril and died 10 years prior.Rain the 1 19:38, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

@Raintheone They're mentioned in conversation between Alan and Molly, and based off cultural and social context of the time - plus Molly's highly traditional views as depicted in the show - I think it unlikely that Alan was born outside of wedlock Clements1997 (talk) 23:52, 17 July 2023 (UTC)

They were mentioned briefly in a scene but never appeared on-screen. Normally we would not include those characters. I understand his surname probably would have been Partridge but it is still original research.Rain the 1 19:47, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
