Australian cricket team in the West Indies in 2002–03 edit

Hi.

I took a look at this following your message which I happened to notice at the cricket project. I should explain the things I've done in the first instance:

  • we tend to put match summaries after prose, so I've moved those;
  • subheadings are almost always not capitalised per the Manual of Style for all articles (WP:MOS);
  • date formats tend to follow d-m-y format for cricket articles - unless they're dealing with US cricketers, so I change the date formats in the subheads;
  • I rewrote the first Test prose summary, but won't do any others yet. I think the style could use a bit of a think. Ideally we'd be able to use the Wisden match reports - the problem is that the whole of the Wisden section seemed to get lost on CricInfo's website just now so none of the links I have work. Is there any chance you could find a 2004 Wisden or something similar via your university? Or perhaps access newspaper articles that are contemporary to the tour? Those would probably be better than relying on scorecards directly for too much. The reports on the side of the scorecards on CricInfo may well contain the basis for better sourcing as well (this report may be particularly useful);
  • we don't need to use quite as many flags really - although different people agree or disagree about this. In particular, when Australia played the tour match they played, per convention, as Australians not Australia. It's an odd remnant from the past I think - all touring teams do that;
  • I took out some of the background on Worrall. This article isn't really the place for that imo - people can get that by following links. But I could be wrong on that;
  • we don't need the ***'s in McGrath's retort! It's fine - we can cope with using the unedited version!

Take a look and ask questions - here is fine. If you disagree then act on it - I'll give you plenty of time to look at the article before doing anything else myself. Blue Square Thing (talk) 19:51, 14 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Wisden links are back up. The tour article is here. I find them very helpful. Blue Square Thing (talk) 09:34, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
