Universal Church of the Kingdom of God

edit

Regarding changes to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) article, most recently by User:Clarkxwayne: these changes typically consist of deletion of great amounts of sourced text, and replacement by text of promotional style, much of which has been copied verbatim from UCKG sites. Both deletion of sourced material and inclusion of promotional material from sources associated with the subject are entirely inappropriate and violate Wikipedia policies and guidelines; please do not do these things. To start with, it would be useful to read guidelines WP:COI and WP:NOTADVOCATE, and policies WP:NPOV and WP:EDIT. Pol098 (talk) 12:21, 5 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Clarkxwayne,
You appear to have ignored Pol's excellent advice and continued to replace sourced content with unsourced promotional content. Such behaviour can lead to an account being blocked. If you disagree with some of the existing content, I recommend that you discuss your issues at Talk:Universal Church of the Kingdom of God. You may find the page Help:Using talk pages helpful.

Listen to what these users are saying. Circumventing the process by creating your own version of an article about the UCKG is against Wikipedia policy. APK whisper in my ear 10:38, 6 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

You may be be concerned that the article as it s at present (unless it has been massively changed again) includes a lot of material which can be considered critical of UCKG. Rather than editing sourced material out (which others will always rapidly reinstate), why don't you restore the balance by adding humanitarian and similar work done by UCKG? I have started, creating a section on humanitarian activity, but all I have found so far is encouraging UCKG members to donate blood, involving numbers of just hundreds of people. I suggest that you seek out and add instances where UCKG has used its own resources (not those of volunteers) to make significant contributions to society at large (e.g, hospitals, disaster relief, etc., not temples). Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
