Speedy deletion nomination of Brian Clark (American Writer & Academic) 1987- edit

A tag has been placed on Brian Clark (American Writer & Academic) 1987- requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Page edit

I am afraid that you are looking for User:Fbifriday who only nominated it for deletion. I am not an admin, so I could not have deleted it anyhow.  fetchcomms 03:02, 12 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Again, edit

How did you find my talk page? I believe it was Fbifriday who did that. Please pay more attention next time.  fetchcomms 15:54, 12 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Please read Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (people) for more information on why things get deleted at Wikipedia. If you want to see that your edits are not deleted, then you need to edit within Wikipedia policy. If you need help, I would be glad to steer you in the right direction. If you would like, I can provide you with a draft copy of the article that was deleted so that you can work on it outside of the main article namespace. It will give you time to find reliable sources which are required to prove that the subject of the article is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. There is the possibility that there are not enough reliable sources in existence, so there is a possibility that such an article may not be appropriate for Wikipedia. There is, for example, no article about me at Wikipedia.
  • I should also note that being mean and insulting to other editors at Wikipedia, as you have done on my page, isn't a proper way to interact with other people. Adminstrators do not act mean and capriciously, rather they apply Wikipedia's policies and guidelines without prejudice. That you, as a new and inexperienced user who is unfamiliar with the way that Wikipedia runs, have created material which is incompatible with the goals of Wikipedia is the greater problem here.
  • As a final note, if you friend wishes to be unblocked, he should make an unblock request at his own user talk page. --Jayron32 22:31, 15 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I did respond, but I moved your comment to my main talk page. Your account will be four days old soon if it is not already, and you need to make at least two more edits to be autoconfirmed. Then you can access my main talk page. SchuminWeb (Talk) 05:45, 16 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Winner 42. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Lorde— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Winner 42 Talk to me! 20:35, 20 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
