Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, Claresayasronning. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 00:55, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Claresayasronning/getyourguidedraft edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Claresayasronning/getyourguidedraft requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. You have probably already noticed, Clare, (but I am mentioning it to make sure) that this deletion request has, quite rightly, been declined, so you don't need to worry about it. JBW (talk) 14:47, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edit request for GetYourGuide edit

I see that some time ago you posted an edit request at Talk:GetYourGuide#Proposed changes, which has not yet received any response. Unfortunately just leaving a request on a talk page is very often ineffective, because it relies on someone who is able and willing to deal with the request happening to see it. In the case of an article on a not particularly well-known subject, it is quite likely that nobody will ever see it and act on it. I have added an {{edit COI}} template to your request, which will add the page to a list of pages with edit requests pending, and that should attract the attention of editors who patrol that list and respond to requests. GetYourGuide edit

Thanks for leaving me a message on my talk page. I will have a look at the article.

I do edit articles on subjects I know a lot about. With regards to conflict of interest, it is not a good idea to edit any article to do with past, present, or likely future employers. Fanboy articles are a difficult subject. I do "Random article" quite a lot. It improves my general knowledge and you can contribute meaningfully to wikipedia on subjects that really matter to wikipedia readers.--MedRobo (talk) 16:23, 24 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
