Page moves around Annie C. Tanner
editHi, I noticed you've done a number of page moves/blanking involving a page about Annie C. Tanner. The initial creation mentions moving from draft space, but instead it appears to be a copy-and-paste move from some place else. Was it from User:Sterzmad000/Annie Clark Tanner? Normally, even more so if you're not the only author, copy-and-paste moves are not suggested because it makes copyright attribution harder. What is your eventual goal since currently there's a blanked page left... somewhere and some redirects left behind and a blanked page. I'd suggest pausing, thinking about what you're doing and asking for help here or one of the appropriate notice boards before there are even more redirects left to be deleted by admins. - I am going to attempt to tag for deletion the left behind redirects and move Tanner, Annie Clark to Annie Clark Tanner, which is where it should be. Skynxnex (talk) 19:10, 7 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hello! The copy and paste was from my original draft article. All that information in the article is correct, but when we tried to move our draft to "Annie Clark Tanner," it would not let us because it said there was another name. However, when we first were trying to move it, it said that there was not article on annie clark tanner. So we tried to make a differnt name to move the draft to and it still wouldn't work. - Yes, that is why I was trying to be helpful and have you pause before there was more to clean up. (Also I don't have a huge opinion about the article itself but it seems fine.) In the future if you wish to move either a draft space draft or a user space draft to article/main space and there are articles/redirects in the way, please see WP:Articles for creation or WP:Requested moves or ask at the WP:TEAHOUSE or the WP:HELPDESK. I think I and another editor cleaned up the random page name redirects and put your article at Annie Clark Tanner. Happy editing and feel free to ask for any help or clarifications.
