You might also like to look at the Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines pages which will tell you a lot about the way things are usually done on Wikipedia.
One of the things that is not done on Wikipedia is creating articles about yourself. See Wikipedia:Don't create articles about yourself. It's much better to wait for someone else to do it.
