Minor edits edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. --John (talk) 23:16, 16 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Per your recent distinctly non-minor edit at Scottish Gaelic I see you have been notified already about marking non-minor edits as minor ones. Please heed the advice. Mutt Lunker (talk) 18:08, 15 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ethnicity edit

Please stop adding "Irish" to the nationalities of people who never had Irish nationality. Ethnicity may be mentioned, but not in a context where the nationality may be confused. Ethnicity should never be emphasized unless it forms a strong part of the individual's identity. Acroterion (talk) 23:10, 14 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Era style changes BC/AD vs. BCE/CE edit

One or more of your edits are in violation of WP:ERA and have been reverted. Prevailing era designations are not errors to be corrected, and changing them is not a matter of personal preference. Per WP:ERA, consensus is needed before changing the era style established in an article. Please refrain from making any more such edits without first obtaining consensus for the change. Thank you. October 2016 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Siege of Masada. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. You were asked to stop making such edits in violation of WP:ERA. Please stop NOW. Hertz1888 (talk) 21:02, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

February 2017 edit

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at List of bog bodies.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. --GouramiWatcherTalk 14:51, 25 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

August 2017 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Owney Madden. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Given that there is clear evidence (see Talk:Owney Madden) that both of his parents were born in England, your editing is clearly disruptive. Black Kite (talk) 00:00, 6 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Black Kite (talk) 20:54, 6 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Since you chose to immediately continue your edit-warring when your block expired, you have been blocked inefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Black Kite (talk) 10:28, 14 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
