January 2009 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Telos International, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Scjessey (talk) 14:46, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did with Telos Entertainment, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Scjessey (talk) 14:53, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Telos Entertainment, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Scjessey (talk) 14:54, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia policies. In addition, the use of a username like yours violates our username policy.

You may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Usernames that have already been taken are listed here.

Request reason:

I am a new user and learning how to use Wikipedi. I apologize for any inconvenience. I was using other virtual worlds as a guide. I will need some help on how to proceed so I meet the guidelines.

Decline reason:

You'll have to do better than that; you were warned multiple times and yet persisted in inappropriate conduct. You may post a new request when you have a substantive rply to the comments below. Mangojuicetalk 16:47, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please tell us what edits you intend to make if unblocked.  Sandstein  20:44, 6 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • The trouble is that so far, you have only used Wikipedia to promote your company and the MMORPG it develops. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is meant to be a compendium of existing knowledge, not a means of making something known. In addition, users are strongly discouraged from creating articles about themselves etc., because they may find it difficult to write about such topics objectively, or judge whether or not they should have articles in accordance with the inclusion (notability) guidelines.

    Since you have no contributions outside the deleted articles, it would have been easier for you to create a new account with a more appropriate name once the automatic IP block expires (the name shouldn't imply that it is a shared corporate account - an account is only supposed to be used by a single person). However, should you resume the inappropriate edits and use of Wikipedia for promotional, your new account will be soon blocked as well.

According to the user's block log, the automatic block was disabled here - as is typical with spam usernames. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 05:56, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • With respect to this user's request for assistance, the following may help:
      If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. — Athaenara 11:55, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
