D'Urville Island (Marlborough Sounds) edit

Hi Citylover - I've just moved D'Urville Island (Marlborough Sounds) to D'Urville Island, New Zealand, as per the Wikipedia:Naming conventions#New Zealand placenames. Next time it would probably be better to check them before moving any pages! Grutness...wha? 06:33, 26 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, Grutness, I thought about that too. I did not adhere to the New Zealand placenames naming convention because I thougth that maybe there would be more than one single D'Urville Island within New Zealand alone. Obviously, that's not the case :) -- Citylover 06:44, 26 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
I have just realised that when I created the pages Dent Island, Dent Island (disambiguation), Dent Island, New Zealand and Dent Island (Whitsunday Islands), I assigned the correct name to Dent Island, New Zealand, although in this case, I also thought about creating something like "Dent Island (Campbell Island group)" which would probably have been incorrect too because of the New Zealand placenames naming convention. -- Citylover 07:04, 26 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
S'alright :). In general it's just "..., New Zealand" unless there are two in the country, in which case you use the province name. Outlying groups like the Campbell islands aren't really in any of the provinces though, so if there had been others within NZ "Dent Island, Campbell Islands" would have been the way to go. AFAIK the only NZ island to be treated like that in Wikipedia so far is White Island, Otago - there would also be White Island, Bay of Plenty if that island wasn't now also known by its Maori name (it's at Whakaari/White Island). There's a disambiguation page for the three Rabbit Islands in NZ, but only one of them's really big enough for its own page anyway. Grutness...wha? 08:20, 26 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Antarctic pages & Eubot edit

Hi Citylover, thanks for the suggestions. Not all of them are possible; and not all of them are improvements in my opinion, but they are all appreciated! I will upload new versions of the pages as soon as I have finished updating the conversion script.

More comments will be at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/Antarctica. Eugene van der Pijll 13:15, 3 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I thought you might be interested to know that Cape Horn is having a peer review. Comments welcome. — Johan the Ghost seance 23:34, 31 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stubs edit

Hi, I noticed you created quite a few stubs on islands. You might like to know that the {{stub}} template is kind of deprecated, and it would be better to use one of the more specific stub templates so that people interested in the subject can find your article more easily. For example, for the Antarctic islands, {{Antarctica-geo-stub}} would be a better template. Thanks! --Malthusian (talk) 23:38, 22 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello! There iare someone to change Greece to fully European and Malta from North Africa to South Europe. There are similar things in continent templates (asia, africa, europe) Can you please take a look? Sincerely User talk:Zaparojdik10:57 1 August 2007 (UTC)
