Your edits at Michael Theoklitos ‎ edit

Thanks for your edits, especially getting rid of the dubious "Seraphim"! However, I've reverted your pruning of the article. Wikipedia is WP:NOTCENSORED and when negative material is well-sourced (as that was) it's entirely appropriate for it to appear. --Dweller (talk) 06:44, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please don't continue to remove cited material with no discussion or even an edit summary. --Dweller (talk) 12:58, 5 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I am part of Michael Theoklitos's management group and we feel that your summary of the events at Norwich are portraying Michael in a negative light. He does not appreciate them and feels that you have not stated the correct facts regarding both situations especially the Gillingham bus incident. This is not a true reflection of Michael as a professional and an individual, nor is it stating the truth about what actually occurred. If you could please respect our edits it would be much appreciated. Thank you Citylights111 (talk) 02:24, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any reliable sources that give a version of the bus incident that Michael thinks is accurate? --Dweller (talk) 12:53, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Following a report at the Biographies of Living Persons Noticeboard, I have reviewed the article and edited it to have an appropriately neutral point of view. The article still mentions the Gillingham bus incident, but does include Theoklitos' published statements to The World Game. It also includes the statements made by the Canaries in multiple reliable sources, in which the club said that he failed to show up and was disciplined. The allegation that he missed the bus has been removed, because I could not find a reliable source for the claim.
Please understand that Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons requires us to present well-sourced, notable facts about people, even if they portray the person in a negative light or are embarrassing to the subject, so long as they do not create a non-neutral point of view. See WP:WELLKNOWN: "If an allegation or incident is notable, relevant, and well-documented, it belongs in the article—even if it is negative and the subject dislikes all mention of it." Therefore, continuing to remove the statements about the Gillingham incident could lead to your account being blocked for disruptive editing. I would also caution you and your client about the Streisand effect.
If you or your client still have issues with the article, I'd recommend that you review Wikipedia's policies, particularly WP:RS, and then bring your suggested edits to the article's Talk page. Let another editor review and make the changes; that will avoid the appearance of conflict of interest, and help you avoid unintended consequences. // ⌘macwhiz (talk) 02:28, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
