Welcome! edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Cirugia-us, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Alejandro Badia have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TonyBallioni (talk) 21:55, 13 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

July 2017 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:49, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I read all the explanation under Wikipedia and copyright and find comments by TonyBallioni very useful, I understand the reason for this block and I will not repeat adding copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder and consider donating material to Wikipedia if appropriate

Decline reason:

Copyright is not the only concern here. You haven't addressed your promotional editing, apparently in violation of WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO. Yamla (talk) 15:51, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Yamla: I see Copyright is not the only concern here, I read your comment about the appearance of violating the WP:COI, WP:PAID, and WP:PROMO, understand What Wikipedia is not and I will not add any content that can be in violation. The contributions that I intend to make if unblocked will be appropriate and legitimate good-faith additions

Decline reason:

You're just going through the motions in order to be unblocked. Please explain, in your own words, what the purpose of Wikipedia is, why your edits to date harm Wikipedia and why we have those policies. MER-C 16:51, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed unblock conditions edit

I would consider unblocking on condition you agree to not edit about or add links about:

  • Surgery Center at Doral
  • Dr. Alejandro Badia
  • Badia Hand to Shoulder Center

--broadly construed and in addition any prior promotionality I missed.

Wikipedia is the largest free content encyclopedia in the world. What can you do to make it even better? There is a wealth of opportunities at Wikipedia:Community portal. Please specify how you can improve Wikipedia. What edits would you make?

(I just understood your user name. We will need further input on whether that is a problem.)--Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:42, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Thanks MER-C for your comments, I read carefully the guidelines including "What can I do now?" steps to be unblocked. Wikipedia is a digital encyclopedia and the purpose is to offer neutral verifiable information to the public, my edits to date harm Wikipedia because some users may read them as they were PR bio passed off as an encyclopedia article and also perceived as created solely for promotional purposes, you have those policies to keep Wikipedia as a high-quality encyclopedia built in a spirit of mutual respect between the online community of individuals that contribute

Decline reason:

Confirmed to HspUsefulContribs. This is now a checkuser block.

Given the above, how would you change your editing in the future to avoid running into the same problems again? What edits can we expect from you in the future? Huon (talk) 19:35, 6 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
