Thanks for your contributions to Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark and related articles. However, the links you are entering in the {References} sections of these articles should either be formatted according to Help:Footnotes and placed in the article body, or else placed in the {External links} section of the article. November 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please refer to Help:Footnotes for more info. I hope you get this Chuckiesdad. I do want to make my contributions correctly. Thank you for mentioning this to me. Yet, I am not quite sure how to make the changes. I will try to do so.

  • You're already entering the references in the text body with the <ref> and </ref> tags, which places them automatically in the "References" section at the bottom. No need to manually enter them again in the "References" section, and I've removed those duplicates in the articles you've edited. However, there are some additional fields recommended for the in-text references, there are some templates you can copy and paste at WP:CT and a specific one for referencing websites at Template:Cite_web. Thank you Chuckiesdad. I'll try to make the corrections. I also left a note to you on your talk page. Hope it was not impolite to do so.
