Speedy deletion nomination of Christiano De Araujo

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Christiano De Araujo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Zzarch (talk) 09:08, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Christiano De Araujo, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.saatchionline.com/Christiano. As a copyright violation, Christiano De Araujo appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Christiano De Araujo has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 10:49, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please note that even if the copyright issue were resolved, the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view - Wikipedia is not to be used for advertising or promotion of any kind.
Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (people), for artists particularly the section WP:ARTIST, and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article.
If you are Christiano De Araujo, please be aware that writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia:Autobiography.
I have also deleted several other copies of this text which you posted at places such as User:Christiano. User pages are not for this kind of thing, and Wikipedia cannot host copyrighted text anywhere. If you are the same person as User:Christiano, please read WP:Sockpuppetry: you should choose one account and use only that one. JohnCD (talk) 10:57, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
