  • Be sure that when you create a heading (as in a title) for a section within an article on Wikipedia, that the heading isn't capitalized all the way through, unless it's an official name or title...such as New York City.

For instance, on Wikipedia, a section that is titled Friends & Enemies...should actually be titled Friends and enemies. Anyway, see you around. Flyer22 22:41, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dead Parents and Dead Relatives

edit
  • Chrispiper17, refrain from making headings such as Dead Parents or Dead Relatives within the soap opera character articles (or any articles, for that matter) on Wikipedia. There is no need for that. The parents or relatives needn't be separated into a different heading just because they are dead. As is seen with dead parents and dead relatives in the Family and relationships section, we mention in parentheses that they are dead.

And, also, remember, as I've already mentioned to you, headings should not be capitalized all the way through...unless it is an official title or name...such as New York City. If it were ideal to have headings titled Dead Parents or Dead Relatives within the soap opera character articles, it would still be Wikipedia policy that it be titled as Dead parents (if it's parents, of course) and Dead relatives (if it's dead relatives other than parents or siblings, of course), but that is not what is desired for headings within these articles on Wikipedia. Refrain from making such headings as that. Flyer22 20:59, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
