License tagging for Image:Howell3FiresExteriorLG.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Howell3FiresExteriorLG.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:08, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Howell3FiresExteriorLG.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BrownCow • (how now?) 22:45, 7 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your article

edit

A tag has been placed on FYI Sports Fans, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:FYI Sports Fans. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. The Evil Clown my contributions 00:00, 7 April 2007 (UTC) BTW, when adding hangon don't remove the speedy template. The Evil Clown my contributions 00:00, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. The Evil Clown my contributions 00:02, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Talk:FYI Sports Fans

edit

The FYI Sports Fans page is not itended as an advertisement. It is intended to show people how the Comapny was started. We do not need any new members from this. We want to be a major sports company. we are already a sub-major one. We thought that our members should be able to get to know this company's history on Wikipedia. Chrisdaniel0 23:57, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since you need no new members, why not just do a mailing to your existing ones outlining the company. Come on, this is spam in the true meaning of spam. Shoessss 00:15, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

How come ESPN gets one then?We are trying to be like ESPN and also better.Sure, we haven't been around for over 25 years but we are the beginning of something great. Please leave this page on.Chrisdaniel0 14:49, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your argument takes the position of…”How come George Washington or Thomas Jefferson have articles on Wikipedia and I don’t”. See my point! Shoessss 15:14, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I am not trying to be abrupt/abusive or just dismissing your point of view. That one of the very good things about Wikipedia is that not just one individual makes the decision. It must be a consensus of all individuals. An other editor or administrator may be in total agreement with you on keeping the article. Others may not. What I would like you to do is review Wikipedia guild line on what is spam and what is not. Than try viewing your article from that standpoint. Either way, I do hope to see you continue to contribute to the Wikipedia project. Shoessss 15:26, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Nick Barnowski

edit

An editor has nominated Nick Barnowski, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nick Barnowski and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it.
