The information given in velir and madras regiment was entirely wrong thats why I had to change it. The sources I am referring to are valid sources.

for madras regiment - http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/india/rgt-madras.htm for velirs - http://www.sishri.org/velir.html

Also I challenge any one to provide authentic materials which can dispute the information provided by me. Chola yadava ( time 12:31 PM PST, 2 January 2010)

Madras Regiment edit

Did you read the references given there? First read them. Don't push POV in articles related to Indian Army. If you want to promote POV, then do it in Tamil related articles. What actually the following para has to do with Madras Regiment? "Situated on the south eastern side of the India peninsula, Tamil Nadu has an area of over 130,000sq.kms. and a population of over 48 million. The Tamil language is one of the oldest classical languages of the sub-continent. Most of the army's Madras Regiment personnel know the Tamil language. In the Indian Army, except for the Madras Regiment, no other regiment speaks Tamil. Chennai (formerly known as Madras), is the capital of Tamil Nadu and one of the four main cities of India. Coonoor is surrounded on all sides by hills and slopes of tea, with old colonial houses. It also has a lake, waterfalls, picnic spots, mountain trails and clubs. Its cantonment town of Wellington, named after the hero of Waterloo, is the home base of the Madras Regiment, the oldest unit int he Indian army." Axxn (talk) 04:00, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your edits to India-related articles edit

Hi. Your edits to articles on India are disruptive and violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. Please cease from making these edits, and discuss them on the article talk pages. If consensus is reached, they will be applied to the article pages. You've been warned previously, but I wanted to make sure you knew the right way to handle it. Controversial edits should be done through consensus or the bold, revert, discuss cycle; please ensure you are discussing the edits, rather than edit warring to place your changes back. Cheers, tedder (talk) 04:20, 7 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
