Speedy deletion of Skarpretter

edit

A tag has been placed on Skarpretter requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Stylisation

edit

Hello there! I would like to drop a note as to why I've been reverting all of your edits in terms of capitalisation and alternative spelling. The standard on Wikipedia is to not include stylisation (i.e. random capitalisation in titles, not facilitating pronunciation or definition). Further information on these issues and other music/Japan-related issues can be found at WP:MOS-CAPS, WP:MOS-JP and WP:MUSTARD. Thanks, and happy editing! --Jacob Talk 05:24, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Supposed "correctness" is all relevant to your preferred authority. When working with proper titles, is your hierarchy placing a band above English grammar, or vice versa? If you want a change in the policy, you'll want to initiate discussion on the appropriate policy pages, if not, you're only making a futile change to a single page. Personally, I don't have a preference either way, but I try to adhere to the universal standards here, and respect the policies in place. --Jacob Talk 16:24, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:A.P.A EP cover.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading File:A.P.A EP cover.gif. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 13:51, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Amdi Petersens Armé

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Amdi Petersens Armé, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No sources given to back up the claim of popularity. Asice.net is not exactly a popular source.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 14:36, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Amdi Petersens Armé

Hi, this is to notify you of the discussion above. I'm afraid that some of your articles do not meet WP:BAND and WP:V - at least not in their present form. Power.corrupts (talk) 09:50, 25 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Blod ser mere virkeligt ud på film cover.gif)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Blod ser mere virkeligt ud på film cover.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:49, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Amdi Petersens Armé E.P.

edit

The article Amdi Petersens Armé E.P. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NALBUM, no coverage by reliable and independent sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
