Irrelevant tag edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, my name is Nnadigoodluck. I noticed that you added a {{cn}} tag to COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria here. It has been reverted, because it was not supposed to be added to the article, since it was properly cited. I'll enjoin you to understand and go through an article properly before using a tag. Best, —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 17:08, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Alright noted with apologies Chiinobis (talk) 17:15, 17 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Federal University of Technology Owerri. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:52, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Mirrors edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Rita Orji ‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 15:31, 24 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

You've done the same thing again here - note the "The contents of this page are sourced from Wikipedia article" text. Please be more careful when evaluating sources. 03:43, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Okay, you've added the exact same mirror two more times, here and here. You've also added another that very clearly notes the material is copied from Wikipedia here. Please stop. If you are not able to evaluate sources, and you are not willing to communicate, this is going to be viewed as disruptive. Kuru (talk) 16:17, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Again here. As I have received no communication from you, please consider this a final warning. Kuru (talk) 14:26, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please let me understand what the error is here Chiinobis (talk) 15:08, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Will noted will try to remove the source Chiinobis (talk) 15:16, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

List of Nigerian scientists and scholars edit

Hello. Your recent edit to List of Nigerian scientists and scholars appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:13, 25 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in List of Nigerian scientists and scholars. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason.
Please do NOT use promotional bold - Arjayay (talk) 13:34, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Ike Odimegwu. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
You were warned NOT to add external links in bodytext, above, but have continued to add them - Arjayay (talk) 13:38, 26 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

You have been blocked from editing for 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy as a result of your repeated abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}.

Kuru (talk) 13:38, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm really sorry, but you're still adding a large number of clearly false sources to articles, including biographies of living persons. This block is just for 24 hours while I attempt to clean up the mess. If you need specifics, please let me know and I'll write up a list, but it should be clear from my reversions (that note the reason) and from the warnings above (You're adding some of the exact sites I warned you about). Kuru (talk) 13:38, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dear Kuru Thank you for the mail. I want to appreciate all the fellow-ups you have been doing. However I have not noticed this infraction that warranted the complete block .Though I was able to visualise the previous infractions, this came as a surprise . However I apologise and request that I be provided the opportunity to continue editing by unblocking me.

Thank 13:53, 30 May 2020 (UTC)13:53, 30 May 2020 (UTC)13:53, 30 May 2020 (UTC)~

Okay. Will start a list below of the obvious ones for now.
We spoke earlier about "alcheton". Can you help me understand how you would change your process in the future to avoid sites like those? It does not appear you are evaluating the source at all. Kuru (talk) 14:13, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes I understand the issue. I think my challenge is that after evaluating a site, in the process of editing I tend to assume some of these as already authenticated and approved to be reliable so I don’t go checking them. I think I will insist on re-evaluating inspite of assumed reliability. Chiinobis (talk) 14:39, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - I've removed the block. Please, please evaluate the sources carefully. Kuru (talk) 14:55, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Charles Esimone moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Charles Esimone, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Celestina007 (talk) 16:18, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Don’t Rush edit

I’ve moved an article you moved to mainspace back to your drafspace as the article at this point in time is not suitable enough for mainspace. Remember also that there’s no need to rush things. Celestina007 (talk) 16:22, 10 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dozie, I. N.S edit

The article Dozie, I. N.S has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 16:18, 25 June 2020 (UTC) I started creating the article. I am still working Chiinobis (talk) 16:21, 25 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Recent edit reversion edit

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 14:50, 2 June 2021 (UTC) {Noted}Chiinobis (talk) 13:55, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Junk sourcing, again edit

Welcome back. I can see that you're rushing to add many sourcing as part of a "contest" again. You have again added references to mirrors here and here. You added links to junk "net worth" scrapers here and here. You've added references to a self-published blog platform here and here. Please stop immediately and review all of your recent additions; it is time-consuming for others to have to correct your mistakes. Since you've been warned about this multiple times, and have prior blocks for this behavior, please consider this your only warning. Kuru (talk) 11:38, 27 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Appreciate Kuru
I dont think it is an issue of contest rather an issue of oversight. I think I will try to observe closely before insertion Chiinobis (talk) 15:48, 27 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
