WELCOME!! Hello, Chid12! I want to personally welcome you on behalf of the Wikipedia community. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you haven't already, you can put yourself in the new user log and the list of users so you can be properly introduced to everyone. Don't forget to be bold, and don't be afraid of hungry Wikipedians...there's a rule about not biting newcomers. Jeremy Thorpe

Just wanted to check with you. You deleted the LGBT category from my sandbox version of the Jeremy Thorpe article, but didn't make any changes to the bona fide article in Wikipedia. Looks like you may have searched for Mr Thorpe and ended up in my sandbox by mistake. I understand your reasons for deleting the category, presumably because Jeremy Thorpe has never officially come out, and such categorisation is based on conjecture rather than fact. However, you need to make the change to the Wikipedia article itself if you wish this to be reflected officially, as you have only so far succeeded in editing my 'work in progress'. Cheers. You've removed my material on the Sewel convention from the UK section, on the basis that it is to do with legislative procedure rather than the age of consent. True. But if this is to be the standard, then the references to the Parliament Act 1911 will have to go too.--George Burgess 19:00, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Hello there. I'm a fellow English law editor (I recently got Gray's Inn to FA) and I was wondering if you'd like to collaborate on a few things. Current targets include:

Louca

Hi, I must say it's nice to bump into a fellow English law editor when patrolling new pages! They seem to be a scarce commodity! I just wanted to let you know I've moved the article on the Luca case to Louca v German Judicial Authority since the title seemed overly long and detailed. I've also written a sentence to kick off the lead section. I wonder if you have the date the case was heard and/or the "All ER" number for it. It could do with a little context adding to it and a few references when you get round to it. I'll keep an eye on it and add anything I can to the article. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen.
