When adding links to material on an external site, as you did to Empty Walls with lyrics wiki, please ensure that the external site is not violating the creator's copyright. Linking to websites that display copyrighted works is acceptable as long as the website has licensed the work. Knowingly directing others to a site that violates copyright may be considered contributory infringement.
If you believe the linked site is not violating copyright with respect to the material, then you should do one of the following:

  • If the linked site is the copyright holder, leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page;
  • If a note on the linked site credibly claims permission to host the material, or a note on the copyright holder's site grants such permission, leave a note on the article Talk page with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you are the copyright holder or the external site administrator, adjust the linked site to indicate permission as above and leave a note on the article Talk page;

If the material is available on a different site that satisfies one of the above conditions, link to that site instead. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl 18:48, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Linkin Park

edit

Please stop adding random instrumentation to the current band members section. In case you cannot tell, they are being removed since they are unorthdox - see other WP:FA candidates from the music project. Making a sock puppet account to try to sneak the edits in is not going to help your case either. In fact, its grounds for a permanent ban. --ShadowJester07Talk 20:21, 23 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I took so long to get back to you. Please see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry. --ShadowJester07Talk 19:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Linkin Park Genres

edit

Hello. I see that you have recently made an edit to Linkin Park. Your separation of the genres by line breaks is against Wikipedia policy. Also, genres are NOT proper nouns and should NOT be capitalized - Template:Infobox musical artist. Please read up on this before making any more edits concerning the infobox. Also please explain your edits in your edit summary. Thank you. ╦ﺇ₥₥€Ԋ(talk/contribs) 19:52, 2 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
