Romelu Lukaku edit
in reference to your edit request at the Romelu Lukaku talk page. It is consensus at WikiProject Football that a player signing is only official when the club he has signed for has confirmed it on its official website. Chelsea have not confirmed anything - his current club has said they are in talks with a number of clubs. The case of Sylvain Marveaux is reason enough why things should not be changed. He had a medical at Liverpool, and the next day he signed for Newcastle United. A player has not transferred until a fee is agreed, personal terms are agreed between the new club and the player, the player completes a medical successfully, the player signs a contract and the new club officially announces the signing.
