Cirt and Jayen466/Proposed decision#Proposed remedies (motion to close)

Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Cirt and Jayen466/Proposed decision#Proposed remedies

Hi - There appears to be a motion to close this case later today. In the case that you have not noticed - there are two new proposals predented by Newyorkbrad - 3.3.2.1 Cirt restricted from BLPs and 3.3.2.2 Cirt restricted from "political" biographies - that you have not voted in. Thank you for your attention to this. - Off2riorob (talk) 02:00, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Rob. I had noticed, but hadn't got around to reading his arguments and the evidence in depth. I'll do so now. The Cavalry (Message me) 14:44, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
I appreciate your attention there. "I'm also the Office Administrator for Wikimedia UK." - paid promotion, or just more wikikitten rewards... is the office wherever your lap top is? Off2riorob (talk) 13:23, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Paid job - certainly not a promotion though. I carry on doing on-wiki stuff, being an arbitrator etc - I just spend 7-ish hours per day doing WMUK's office work - fundraising reports, answering emails, tracking property, managing the membership list, etc. The office is, however, wherever my laptop is, you're right... There's not the funding or the need for an actual office, seeing as I'm the only employee at the moment! The Cavalry (Message me) 13:28, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
Well - congratulations. Thanks for the detail. If you need any UK assistance and I can help please feel free to ask, regards. Off2riorob (talk) 13:39, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

ArbCom Case: Abortion

This message is to inform you that you have been added as a party to a currently open Arbitration case, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Abortion, per Arbitrator instructions. You may provide evidences and comments at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Abortion/Evidence.

For the Arbitration Committee,

Thank you Penwhale - much obliged. I've been expecting this for a few days now :-) The Cavalry (Message me) 02:03, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
And this message is to publicly beseech your input at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Abortion/Evidence, specifically with respect to your perception of conduct during the article move mediation period and process. Cheers, Jclemens (talk) 05:45, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
I will, I just can't do it during work hours... Being paid by WMUK to give evidence would not go down well. First impressions: some editors trying really hard to help the project, eg Husky and Steven Zhang. Some others very unhelpful and generally unwilling to budge an inch. Seem to be editors on both sides causing problems. MedCab tried a radical solution but didn't have enough consensus to pull it off successfully, but in principle it was a dsmned good idea. I'll type more when I'm not on an iPhone! The Cavalry (Message me) 09:32, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for that, that's really helpful! Tom walker (talk) 15:45, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

  The Special Barnstar
Thank you for the support and the barnstar. I would appriciate for that and all of your support. Mohamed Aden Ighe (talk) 00:52, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

You think that i'm a very good editor and you awarded me a barnstar. If im a good editor, do I need to request for premissions such as adminship, basic needs (rollbacker, reviewer, autopatrolled) or breaucrat. If you say no tell the reason and what time I should apply for request approximately. I am trying to make over 15,000 edits to continue. Please reply at my talk page for the results. Brett Kimberlin

I notice that you have speedily deleted Brett Kimberlin twice as a negative unsourced BLP. However, looking at the article as it was, it appears that the article did contain references from reliable sources (such as this Time magazine article). Therefore, I would appreciate it if you would clarify what you meant when you called the article "unsourced". --Metropolitan90 (talk) 01:44, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

It was quite well-referenced, but there's a rather large back story involving a harassment campaign against Mr Kimberlin and the fact that ZHurlihee is a banned user. Could you drop me an email and I'll explain what I can, but I can't do it in public I'm afraid! The Cavalry (Message me) 16:31, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
I've enabled e-mail in case you want to e-mail the information to me through the link on my user page. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 06:41, 16 September 2011 (UTC)

Deletion review for Brett Kimberlin

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Brett Kimberlin. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Metropolitan90 (talk) 17:19, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

Replied at the DRV. Given that you've gone to DRV, I don't think I need to go into the back story - someone from OTRS can review it. The Cavalry (Message me) 17:56, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Confused

I am confused as to why you have singled me out at the arbitration case. Could you please explain? NYyankees51 (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

I was asked to give evidence about user conduct in the case - I didn't mean to single anyone out, it's just that certain users, such as yourself and HuskyHuskie, stood out to me and still remain in my memory, whereas most users involved don't. I think Born2Cycle was the only other person I really remember, and I don't have an opinion on his conduct. I have no doubt that there were other users who were behaving inappropriately, and that there were other users who were behaving admirably - I just don't remember them. The Cavalry (Message me) 15:06, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
Fair enough, I suppose, but I still ask that you provide specific examples of problematic behavior of mine on the workshop page. NYyankees51 (talk) 13:42, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
