Non-free images edit

Hello. You've uploaded four photos taken from websites. Please be advised that all images on the web are copyrighted unless specifically released from those rights. Therefore, all these images are copyrighted. Second, we do not accept non-free imagery to depict living people. Third, I've tagged all these images as being used under our non-free content policies, orphaned, replaceable, and missing fair use rationales. You can see the image description pages of the images you uploaded for further information. All four images should be deleted within a week. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 13:13, 25 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Recent Article Creations edit

Hi Chandler, I noticed your recent article creations, Virgil Fox (character), Zeke Thompson (character), and Charlie Tuttle (character) are copied from here, the official site for the Minutemen movie. This text is under copyright, and as such cannot be used by Wikipedia, which only uses free text. I will be tagging the pages for speedy deletion as copyright violations. Unless you can fundamentally rewrite the articles to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines, they must be deleted.  JUJUTACULAR | TALK  15:39, 25 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Virgil Fox (character) edit

A tag has been placed on Virgil Fox (character) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  JUJUTACULAR | TALK  15:39, 25 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:BillyUnger.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:BillyUnger.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:17, 3 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 21:17, 3 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Regan Young (actor) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Regan Young (actor), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://4-uk.com/?person=413755. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Fair use rationale for File:Art&Lee.jpg edit

Gattlin Griffith and Devon Conti edit

Thank you for your edit to Changeling (film). I reverted your good faith edit. Currently, neither the career of Gattlin Griffith or Devon Conti are sufficiently noteworthy to justify a Wikipedia article on them. If you find evidence to the contrary, please create an article on either or both actors with proper citations. When there is an article on either actor, we can then provide a Wikilink in Changeling (film) to that article. --Dan Dassow (talk) 19:12, 4 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:AlexFeris.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:AlexFeris.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —SpaceFlight89 07:15, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use images of living people * 2 edit

Despite multiple warnings and even a final warning, you have once again added fair use images of living people into their articles, as you did here. If this happens again, I will see to it that you are blocked. Given how many other troubles you are having respecting our stance on copyright images, I would suspect this block will be considerably longer than your most recent block. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:51, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I don't think you're getting it. Taking a screenshot of a movie or television show doesn't transfer rights of the image to you. It doesn't make them free. The makers of the production retain rights. I've, yet again, removed a fair use image from an article you added, in this case the Jackson Bond article. May I suggest you STOP adding images in general into you learn our policies and learn about copyright? --Hammersoft (talk) 14:50, 10 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Personal attacks edit

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Bsuorangecrush with this edit. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. I don't personally care that you insult me; I honor such insults by enshrining them on my userpage, as I did with Bsuorangecrush's insult. But be advised, if you continue to make personal attacks against others on this project in violation of our policy on no personal attacks, you'll end up blocked. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:40, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:LaraRobinsonKnowingPremiere2009.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:LaraRobinsonKnowingPremiere2009.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 04:36, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:BillyUnger.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:BillyUnger.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 15:16, 16 October 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 15:16, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Aryana Engineer (actress) edit

A tag has been placed on Aryana Engineer (actress) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 19:47, 16 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
