I am new to Wikipedia. I have used the Article Wizard to create a living person biography article about a current commissioner with the Alabama Public Service Commission. When aatempts are made to move the article from my user space to "live" space I recieve the following message: "Unable to proceed - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - You cannot move pages because your account is too new or is blocked from editing. If you would like a page to be moved and you are not blocked, you can list it at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Please do not just copy and paste the contents of the page to a new title, as that destroys the edit history of the page." I am able to edit both the sandbxox and other pages. I have also searched notice boards, new contributor boards, and help pages. None seem to address this query. What should I do? Chandi1019 (talk) 15:57, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
- Try again: I think you will find you can do it now. The ability to move articles is restricted to WP:AUTOCONFIRMed users, whose accounts are four days old and have at least ten edits. Over the last hour or so you have passed the ten-edit mark so you should be OK now.
